
This video game helps kids build their defenses to online predators

UM-Dearborn undergrads and a UM-Ann Arbor librarian teamed up for a project to help young people with autism stay safe online.
“It was beginning to develop a reputation as the unfinishable project. In fact, UM-Ann Arbor Emerging Technologies Librarian Patricia Anderson spent nearly a decade trying to fulfill her vision of a video game that could help kids better detect online predators.”
(Yes, I waited a while to post this. First, because there were some errors in the original article which has since been corrected. Second, because I’ve been working from a series of several loaner computers, and that chaos has delayed a lot of tech stuff. Third — why now? Well, because the article started to get attention after it was highlighted in the University Record email updates for a week in October!)
